Blyth Deans joined the organisation in February 1990, having previously worked in the Private Sector. Initially recruited as the Training Employment Grant Scheme (TEGS) manager, then moving on to Director of Enterprise Development, before being appointed as Chief Executive in 2003. The role includes reporting to the non executive Board of Directors, who provide strategic guidance to the organisation and ensuring the ongoing viability of the company.
Blyth has over the years developed considerable expertise in accessing European funding and successfully developing and delivering EU funded projects. This experience was recognised through membership of various ESF/ERDF advisory groups, and latterly as a member of The Western Scotland Objective 2 Programme Monitoring committee.
Blyth has achieved considerable success in widening the organisations funding base through securing contracts in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Ayrshire and Renfrewshire.
