Working Links End to End
The Work Programme delivers support to unemployed individuals to progress towards and achieve sustainable employment.
Our aim is to help unemployed residents of Dunbartonshire into work and we do this through the provision of an integrated package of personalised support. The Work Programme helps not only those who have been claiming Jobseekers Allowance for some time but those claiming Employment Support Allowance who have a long term health condition. Young people who have never worked and ex-offenders have early access to the project.
Throughout the 2 years on Work Programme individuals are helped to develop an Into Work Plan which includes activities such as job searching, training or volunteering and they can receive financial support for work wear, travel costs or training costs in order to remove barriers preventing the uptake of employment.
The Lennox Partnership is delivering the Work Programme on behalf of Working Links in both West Dunbartonshire and East Dunbartonshire, the support available is tailored to meet the individual needs of the customer however may include elements of the following:
CV preparation
How to complete application forms
Interview skills, including mock interviews
Confidence and motivational skills
Work experience
In Work Support
A dedicated Consultant to support when starting work
CV updating to add your new employment and skills
Support for your new employer
All referrals to the Work Programme are through your local Job Centre Plus advisor.
